Natural Products Around The House

EATING HEALTHY AND STAYING ACTIVE are great for our mind, body and soul, but what else can we do? Using products that don’t cause harm to our bodies is what! As I was cleaning the house this morning, I looked around at a few of our natural products that I’ve really enjoyed using, so I thought I would share:)

No animal testing, artificial colors, synthetic fragrances, parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl/laureth, sulfate or sodium myreth sulfate, product of USA, 100% vegetarian ingredients, these are a few of the labels that you may find on these products, and might I say, is what we should be looking for when buying anything that we use for our bodies. For me, especially lately, I take it more seriously now that I have a tiny little baby growing inside my belly. I want the BEST for her (oh yeah, it’s a HER!! YAY!!). Anyway, here they are. I recommend them!

Alba Botanica Good & Clean Daily Detox Foaming Cleaner (love washing my face with this stuff), Crystal Essence Mineral Deodorant (lavender and white tea), you still get wet, but it keep you from smelling. I recently used Burt’s Bees Soap Bark & Camomile Deep Cleansing Cream (leaves your skin feeling fresh) as well as use Burt’s Bees Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Cream, and their Milk and Honey Body Lotion. I also really like their facial cleansing towelettes that remove dirt, oil and make-up without rinsing (for that occasional water proof mascara that’s so hard to get off). And I LOVE LOVE their Mama Bee Belly Butter with Shea Butter and Vitamin E. I recently finished using Jason super Shine Apricot Pure Natural Shampoo and Conditioner and now purchased some Everyday Coconut Super Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner that I am excited to try! It’s made in my home state of Washington and is certified Fair Trade. So we’ll see if I like it. Toothpaste? Tom’s of Maine peppermint seems to do the trick.

And my top favorite…Dr. Bronner’s Magic All-One Pure-Castile Soap (Peppermint kind is my absolute favorite! You can use it on everything). It leaves you squeaky clean and feeling so fresh. It is magic. Hmmm…cleaning products? I need to do more of these, but lately I’ve been using Seventh Generation Natural Dish Soap and it works great on getting the dishes clean (and my standards are high when it comes to clean..LOL). ECO Laundry Detergent is an Earth friendly product and does a great job getting our clothes looking and smelling clean. I use an all-purpose cleaner by Clorox Green Works that’s 97% naturally derived, but I know I can do better! Anyway, that’s it, that’s all. For now. Enjoy!
